Bitcoin Gains Momentum in Race to Surpass Meta’s Total Value as Crypto Market Climbs

Bitcoin is making significant strides in its climb towards surpassing Meta (formerly known as Facebook) in terms of total value within the cryptocurrency market. On February 12th, Bitcoin reached the $50,000 mark, pushing its market capitalization to $981.86 billion. This achievement propels Bitcoin back into the top 10 most valuable assets by market capitalization. Analysts speculate that if the current bullish trend continues, Bitcoin has the potential to climb even higher on the market capitalization charts.

Currently, Bitcoin holds the 10th position, with Meta leading by approximately $235 billion at a value of $1.214 trillion. While it may not happen in one swift move, Bitcoin’s next targets would be silver, Amazon, Nvidia, and Alphabet, all of which have market capitalizations around $1.8 trillion. To reach the $2 trillion mark, Bitcoin would need to soar to around $100,000 per coin, putting it in direct competition with industry giants such as Saudi Aramco, Microsoft, and Apple. However, the ultimate challenge lies in surpassing gold, which has a staggering total market capitalization of $13.65 trillion.

In addition to Bitcoin’s impressive performance, Ethereum, the second-most valuable cryptocurrency, is also experiencing an upward momentum. Ethereum’s current market capitalization stands at $313.54 billion, securing the 34th position. Some analysts believe that Ethereum’s continued growth, coupled with Bitcoin’s gains, could position it to challenge tech giants like Tencent and Samsung, both valued at less than $400 billion.
