Following the modification of Metamask non-custodial wallet creator ConsenSys‘ guidelines, which specified in part that blockchain service provider Infura maintains its customers’ IPs as well as users’ Ethereum wallet addresses, a wave of criticism erupted.
I think we can get this fixed soon. We are not using IP addresses even if they are being temporarily stored, which they don’t need to be, as we’re not using them for anything.

This wallet was unveiled. ConsenSys said that other RPC providers do the same and that this does not imply that Metamask retains user information.
